The 2017 Summer term has begun. We started back last Saturday (22nd April) and it was great to see so many new faces and of course all our regulars in both our Youth Circus and Adult Aerial classes.
Our adult 'Trapeze Fit' course, which started at the beginning of the year, has been a great success. The wonderful Alfa Marks has been getting everyone in shape, from beginners to experienced aerialists returning to training. This high-energy class is a great way back into working out as well as an introduction to aerial circus. All are welcome, so if you’re interested get in touch.
Throughout the summer term both our Junior and Senior Youth circus groups will be working creatively to make their own individual/group pieces. They will have the opportunity to work in the air and on the ground and set a piece to music of their choice. This part of the term is about exploring and playing with performance and characters. All leading up to 15th July where they will perform their own works in our annual Summer Showcase.
Performing in the Spiegeltent
This term our two community companies ‘B.Collective’ and ‘Connected Youth’ are in the final stages of rehearsals for their brand new show ‘How To Make Friends And Imitate People’. The show is a double bill of the two groups and will be performed in the Brighton Spiegeltent on Saturday 3rd June as part of the Brighton Fringe Festival. They will both be hard at work perfecting what will be a fabulous show not to be missed. Don’t miss out and buy your tickets here now!
